Receiving Love and Forgiveness
When you have a session with Rick, his warmth and
love of the Lord spreads to you instantly. He taught me
forgiveness and handing problems over to the Lord.
Doing that is a reward in itself. I'm still working on it. --

Healing our Marriage
My husband and I sought help from Rick to address our
marriage. We found Rick
to be spiritually grounded, authentically caring, and
masterful in how he allowed
God to use him to heal our marriage. He taught and
guided us in new skills with
scripture that has sustained us and opened our hearts
to how God views marriage.
I have recommended Rick to many of our friends. --df
Overcoming Sexual Abuse for the Developmentally
Disabled
Rick Livingston counseled my son for a year. My son is
developmentally disabled. He was sexually abused by
a family member. Rick did an excellent job of working
with a person who has a disability. He used a lot of
word pictures that my son could relate to. The other
plus with the counseling was that it was scripturally
based. Rick showed a lot of caring and compassion
for me as a parent also. That is really important
because Rick realized that the parent is hurting too. --lb
Overcoming Issues in Families with Adopted Children
Rick Livingston has served our family well. We have
gone to him for advice on marriage issues, individual
adult issues, child issues, both birth children and
adopted children. Rick helped us transition our two
adopted children into our home. Rick uses sound
biblical methods as a basis for advice. Rick takes
issues to God in prayer. We find sometimes our family
needs some outside help, when we have tried our best
and need HELP! We recommend Rick to
acquaintances and friends for Godly counsel. --hh
Finding Healing for Grief
In the months following a tragic accident that took the
life of my 20 year old daughter, e, I found myself
searching for a compassionate Christian counselor. A
friend of mine referred me to Rick Livingston. He
helped me work through some of the most difficult
days of my grieving process. I know that my "grief
work" will continue for the rest of my life; however, I
find comfort in the knowledge that I will someday be
reunited with my e. --ms
Biblical Help for Old Baggage Self-Destructive Habits
My husband and I came to Rick for counseling by
recommendation of an older
gentleman whom we highly respected. We had some
apprehension due to a lack
of trusting counselors. However, we both found Rick
to be a counselor with whom
we could feel at ease discussing our major issues.
Rick offered sound direction
and gave us tools and insights to help us work though
the conflicts and keep our
family together.
I went on to do some counseling on a personal level
due to background issues and self-destructive habits.
Rick was completely honest, trustworthy, and spoke
the truth, even when I may not have wanted to hear it.
He was there to give me real help, not just some quick
answers, fancy words, or easy fixes. He led me to real
heart change. Rick is not one with whom to play
games. He goes to the heart of an issue for real
change in one’s life. I would recommend Rick if one
wants real help, good sound counseling, and growth
on their path in life. --im
Trouble in School
My son was in 6th grade when I sought counseling
with Rick. My son needed help because of problems
with behavior in school. He had done well
academically, but his behavior in class was disrupting.
There were complaints from teachers, and demerits in
his school record.
We had already tried secular counseling, and it had
simply not worked. His needs appeared to be more
spiritual than anything else. A dear friend of mine had
talked to me about Rick as he had successfully helped a
married couple she knew to address certain family
issues. She had told me that Rick was the best there is.
Soon I discovered that she was right. Rick was able to
reach out to our son in a very special way. Of course,
the sessions between them were confidential, so I am
not aware of exactly how Rick helped our son.
However, Rick also scheduled sessions between my
son and me, and so many things became clear. I
realized Rick is an anointed man of God, and the Lord
uses him to guide families to find the unity that God has
intended for them.
For one thing, I saw how our son's character was
transformed. Soon after the initial sessions, I began
hearing compliments from the teachers. He became
peaceful, respectful, and more mature. There were no
longer complaints of behavior, no demerits, no
conferences with teachers and principal!! I truly believe
that Rick helped our son
discovered who he is in the Lord, and this knowledge
has remained with him. This has been one of the most
amazing gifts in my life.
Rick has also helped my marriage. One of the things
that impacted me the most was that Rick showed me
that God is calling husband and wife to be faithful to
each other, not only physically but also spiritually. I
learned that even when there are disagreements, and
the love for each other seemed to have fainted because
of so much hurting, God has called us to make a choice
to be faithful to our spouses. Through sometimes
difficult sessions for me and my husband, I made that
choice to continue resisting the enemy that has tried to
destroy our marriage so many times.
I know that the sessions helped my husband as well.
Rick has the ability to take us to a point where we see
how we have been mistaken and at fault ourselves too,
rather than simply point a finger at the other as the only
cause of the problems. Rick's sessions are always in
line with Scripture. Accordingly, he encourages us to
seek God's will, to be obedient to Him, and to make the
right choices. --sd
Conflict in the Family and with CPS
My wife, two of our six children, and I received
Marriage, Family and Personal counseling from Rick
Livingston for almost one year, a total of ninety
sessions. Child Protective Services had wrongfully
removed our six children and was resolute on not
returning them.
Mr. Livingston’s extensive qualifications and years of
experience proved invaluable throughout the pendency
of our case. It was so apparent that Mr. Livingston
truly had the best interest of the children in mind that
the Judge ordered CPS to comply with his
recommendations.
With his help we learned valuable communication skills
and resolved areas of conflict in our marriage and
blended family.
If your family is involved with DHS or you are looking
for marriage, family or personal counseling, we highly
recommend Living Resources. Thanks Rick. --lc
